IKOCITI WEEKLY

IKOCITI - Empowering The Powerless

IKO = Power/Strength in Hausa

If you’re not 100 percent into it, somebody else who is 100 percent into it will outperform you.

PROGRESS

- NOTION FOR CRM. I reversed my decision to use Coda as our CRM. I am putting all data in Notion and taking the risk to make it (too) slow. But it serves no purpose to conquer the learning curve while there are so many other priorities.

- ROBERTOROBERTO.CO. I have been working on my website. The original idea was to turn RR into a knowledge website despite the clunkiness of Wix, the web design app. Now with Notion.com as our knowledge base RR can be much more focused on visual impressions allowing people to get a feel of who I am and what my interests are. RR is part of the overall business strategy.

- SEARCH. As I put more content in the different Notion databases, SEARCH becomes crucial. I am not happy with the search function of Notion but since I am not experienced yet it could also be my knowledge gap. I am trying another app Needl.com but frustratingly it does not do the job well. But again, it could be my shortcoming. (Another learning curve)

- AI. I love the daily newsletter of ProductHunt.com that highlights the best apps of the day, selected by the community. It is crazy how AI took center stage in only a few months. It is everywhere. Probably there is an app that kisses your wife for you. I am choosing to go slow. I use only perplexity.com to ask questions on different topics. Again, how many learning curves do you tackle at the same time?

- EMOTIONAL CONNECTION. I am proud of myself that I have brought the project to this point. There is a solid body of work (400.00+ words). It needs editing but the foundation will not change anymore. What is needed now is that the project can trigger some sort of emotional connection to its purpose in our small target audience.

RISHI INVITED ME TO SILICON VALLEY [#39]

THE BASICSI am designing the first version of a series of recon missions that will test the Peoples' Impact Philosophy against the hard, cold reality of the world. Based on these confrontations, we adapt IkoCiti over and over again till it is the closest thing to a solution to eradicate generational poverty (GenPoverty). IkoCiti is all about empowering the powerless with resources to rebuild their barrios (neighborhoods) while monetizing their new-learned skills.

Seen from a different perspective, you could also say that we offer Fair-Government-As-A-Service (FGAAS).In the final stage of IkoCiti, we partner with Government to coordinate collaboration between all stakeholders in the barrio connecting people and organizations on different levels. That is why we design IkoCiti as a city with 16 districts and 50+ zones, each offering different services.

KEY QUESTIONS OF THIS WEEK

  • How do we build an emotional connection with our audience?

  • How do we integrate Notion webpages in our newsletter posts?

  • Should we now spend time on producing awareness videos for IkoCiti?

IKOCITI ARCHITECTURE

BRIDGE

The symbol of the bridge applies to the overall platform. If anything we are a bridge for The Ambitious Poor to find more opportunities to improve their life and their barrio. Poverty should not only be defined in monetary terms. Poverty is also heavily influenced by a lack of connection to the middle-class world. In IkoCiti the bridges indicate the connections we facilitate as a platform between people from all walks of life.
