  PROGRESS

  • #50. Around 10 months ago I started writing THE DISPATCH on LinkedIn. It takes time but I like it. The next step is to start writing articles together with seasoned professionals as part of our awareness strategy.

  • BOUNDARLESS. I had an interesting conversation with Emanuele from Boundaryless. They are professionals consulting projects (companies) around the world. It would be great if we can find some common ground.

  • CAROUSELS. I have published the first IkoCiti Carrousel on LinkedIn. AICarousel has made it easy. Unfortunately, it saves the carousel in a pdf format on my hard disk. That means I can not create a direct link to the carousel here. I must look for a more advanced app.

  • NO SETBACKS

 THINGS TO IMPROVE

  • PRIORITIES. IkoCiti is not a full-time job. It is not even a job. I need to organize my time better or define my short-term priorities better. I keep jumping from one thing to another too much. It is part of the business but still. For instance, instead of writing #50 this week, I could have done it for next week. But the story was banging in my head; it needed to be released like a wild animal back to the jungle.

WEAKER LINKS

I believe that the Rendanheyi [RDHY] model could help us not only to organize the venture but also innovate and expand **IkoCiti** in new directions. Still, although we embrace the RDHY model, we are not *blind evangelicals preaching the RDHY gospel*. **We are critical and the more others blaze the trumpet, the more critical we become because the trumpet blazers never talk about the weaker links in the model.** In part I, we expressed the fear that the network (swarm) of macro & microventures could be overwhelming for the Maveriqs. We cannot have that but – for now – we park this concern and focus on exploring further.

Making IkoCiti successful will require effective collaboration among different groups. How do we achieve this? Probably the most important factor is that people need to stay motivated, feel a sense of urgency, and like what they are doing (enjoy the process).

 #50 - I HAVE A CRAZY DREAM TODAY

Inspired by Martin Luther King, Mandela, Yunus, and Steve Jobs, **IkoCiti** tries to find a way to pair true *Freedom-4-All* with people in the barrios creating their own socio-economic opportunities. The platform encourages people from all walks of life to collaborate and build self-propelling social progress together. The game-changer is the ability to scale the activities all over the world within reach of billions of people .... provided it is well-executed.

Today I spoke with Emanuele (Roma). As an equity partner in [Boundaryless](https://boundaryless.io/), he is like a spider in a web of many interesting projects around the world. They have a huge library of free tools and articles for those who think about organizational structures. Although the language is somewhat high-end professional/academic for insiders, it contains rich and valuable wisdom that the *Curious* should not ignore.

SMART DISTRICT. In IKoCiti, the Smart District is the education center, where we train the skills and mindsets of the Mavericks. Besides acquiring the basic skills to operate on the platform and to produce Peoples' Impact, we pay a lot of attention to looking at the world AS-IS. You need to understand how things work objectively before you can innovate or change them.

MY DIGITAL WORLD

My digital world is still in development. Probably the most active places are my email and Whatsapp. I lost interest in Facebook but I am reconsidering it. I have published around 50 articles on LinkedIn but I can't say that I am all that pleased with the site. There is little real interaction. Anyway, If you want to check me out, this is a way to do it.
