IKOCITI - Empowering The Powerless
NEWSLETTER FOR THE CURIOUS PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO BUILD PROGRESS

ISSUE #42
Keep a little fire burning; however small, however hidden.
BUILD IN PUBLIC
PROGRESS
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE. The last two posts of the PI Dispatch (first published on LinkedIn) describe the first draft of the organizational structure - part Collective DAO/part Rendanheyi.
EXCEL. All relevant data in Excel is now transferred to Notion.
PAID NEWSLETTER. We made progress on Substack to create a paid newsletter. The annual subscription fee is U$1.000,= which is ridiculously overpriced. In this stage, we see it more as a substitute for equity.
SETBACKS
NOTION. One of the databases in Notion has been transferred with errors. One column does not correspond with the others. Fortunately, it is not an essential database (Quotes) but it shows how at the detail level things can mess up easily demanding more time to fix it. Now before using a quote I have to check it online to assure the right quoter.

#43 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, WHO NEEDS IT? PART 1
DIGITAL CITY-LIKE PLATFORMI am working on a blueprint for a multi-marketplace platform called IkoCiti which empowers the powerless. Our ambition is to eradicate generational poverty (GenPoverty) for those willing to follow the journey from inexperienced non-producers to income-earning changemakers who lead and inspire the rebuilding of the barrios they live in. The underlying philosophy of IkoCiti is detailed in the book (to be) IkoCiti – The Final Revolution of Peoples’ Impact.
My role as founder and solopreneur is to detail the blueprint in a coherent, logical way so that others (co-founders c.s.) can not only build (code) the platform but understand the intricacies of Peoples’ Impact allowing them to improve and innovate IkoCiti continuously.

#44 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, WHO NEEDS IT? PART 2
ORGANIZATION-CULTURE FITIn part one I made clear that IkoCiti is different than most companies because we have two separate operational levels
the platform - the toolkit for the Maveriqs to rebuild the barrio
the production of Peoples’ Impact – Maveriqs rebuilding the barrio
The platform’s success is determined by the Maveriqs’ ability to create social progress. And their performance is determined by the quality of the platform, which is heavily influenced by the organizational structure and the type of leadership that encourages all Mavericks to go the extra mile.
Which organizational structure leads to operational excellence, given the Peoples’ Impact principles and Mavericks Culture?

KEY ISSUES
SHORT-TERM
Which online communities (groups) deal predominantly with poverty solutions?
How do I free up time to spend more interacting online with impact people?
How do I get more effective with Twitter?
MID-TERM
How do we build an emotional connection with our audience?
How do we visualize IkoCiti?
Which tools do we need to produce awareness videos for IkoCiti?
How do we start selling IKOCITI T-shirts?
How do we market an over-priced newsletter?
LONG-TERM
What is the best way to formulate the business case?
How do we recruit a core unit of 3-4 co-founders?
How do we raise our first U$500.000?
