BUILDING IN PUBLIC

  PROGRESS

  • PITCH. I started working again on Pitch to make some presentations on IkoCiti. Next week I publish the first presentation.

  • RENDANHEYI. I had a pleasant conversation with Joshua who works at the Haier Model Institute in QingDao (China). I don't see a short-term win-win.

 SETBACKS

  • NBA BASKETBALL. The NBA has one of the strongest products in the world. The playoffs are all excitement. You can buy the NBA League Pass and watch all games live or in the replay. Great. Only the payment system does not accept my purchase. And it turns out the NBA has the worst helpdesk in the world. It is shocking how bad they are but it does not hurt them. Although a personal setback, it also underscores that IkoCiti has to set the standard at operational excellence because if we are half as bad, we will be as successful as a walking Zombie.

 THINGS TO IMPROVE

  • NO ISSUES. 

#46 - SHIT WILL HIT THE FAN

BUILDING IN PUBLIC

I am building IkoCiti in public. The content I publish is the testimony of the thinking that goes on behind the closed doors of my mind. There are 50+ chapters of the book (to be); 40-50 posts in The Dispatch; the IkoCiti Weekly, the Notion pages, the websites, and the Pitch presentations. Together they amount to 500.000+ words. (I take my shit seriously.) The reality – of course – is that nobody else gives a shit about 500.000+ words. The tragedy of the non-technical solopreneur is that - all you can do - is try to make people see what you see.

IkoCiti is a city-like (digital) platform with 20 districts hosting 50 zones responsible for producing specific outputs (services).

So how do you organize all this?

IKOCITI ARCHITECTURE

CORNERS

Speakers' Corner is a traditional site for public speeches and debates since the mid 1800's when protests and demonstrations took place in Hyde Park. What happens in Hyde Park happens even more in IkoCiti. The Corners allow people to express freely their opinions, preferably the controversial ones.
